Registration is now open for the 2017 MHRA NHS Improvement event for Medical Devices Safety Officers (MDSOs) and Medication Safety Officers (MSOs).

The theme is ‘Partnerships in patient safety: regulation, reporting and professional practice’.

The event will explore key themes in the patient safety arena, with a particular focus on collaboration between MDSOs-MSOs to develop synergies and promote safety.

Confirmed speakers include Mike Durkin, National Director of Patient Safety, NHS Improvement, Dr June Raine, Director MHRA, Lorna Wilkinson, Director of Nursing, Salisbury NHS Trust and Iain Davidson, Chief Pharmacist & Chief Clinical Information Officer, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, talking about Scan for Safety, Professor Ann Blandford, UCL and Jan MacDonald, Vigilance and Risk Management in Medicines, MHRA.

This conference is a must attend event for Medical Device Safety Officers (MDSO) and Medication Safety Officers (MSO) and will also be valuable to medical directors, nursing directors, risk managers and patient safety leads. Delegates attending the conference will be eligible to claim CPD points.

There will be opportunities for dialogue with NHS Improvement and MHRA as well as ample networking opportunities to exchange ideas on your good practice.

Location

etc.venues County Hall is located on the Thames, opposite the Houses of Parliament and next to the London Eye. Entrance to the venue is via Belvedere Road, opposite Forum Magnum Square.

Underground

The nearest underground station is Waterloo on the Jubilee, Northern, Bakerloo and Waterloo & City lines. Follow the signs out of the main concourse to Southbank, London Eye and County Hall. Westminster on the Jubilee, Circle and District lines is a 5 minute walk over the Thames via Westminster Bridge.
